The games are held on site at the Vineyard. The picturesque setting is the perfect place to enjoy this celebration of Scottish heritage, surrounded by vines, bushland and views to the valleys below.
It's a family focused event that offers something for everyone, with traditional Scottish games, pipe band performances, traditional sword fighting displays and lessons, haggis hurling, activities for the children and boutique wine and cider that is made on site.
Professional strongmen compete for the title of "Southern Highlander". These feats of strength are rarely seen outside metropolitan areas and it is the only event of its kind in northern Victoria.
Another highlight of the day is certainly the pipe band performances. The sound of bagpipes echoing through the hills and vineyard is spectacular.
Guests are encouraged to get involved with the festivities and to wear their family tartan (adopt one for the day if you don’t have Scottish heritage) or other Scottish inspired dress. They can also participate in the Haggis Hurling competition, with adults and children’s divisions.
There is plenty to satisfy the tastebuds with Scottish ale, traditional Scottish soft drinks, haggis and a great selection of great local food, beer, wine and cider on offer.
The Cellar Door café is open for a la carte meals, space is limited so bookings are recommended.
This is a rain, hail or shine event that's fully catered, so no BYO food and drinks; for the safety and comfort of other visitors, no pets please. We look forward to welcoming you to the games.
